​'Stories of CPC' thematic briefing held in Xining

The thematic briefing "Stories of CPC: Qinghai's Achievements in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" was held in Xining, the capital of Qinghai province, on Sept. 12, under the theme of "Chinese Modernization: Harmony Between Humanity and Nature."

Co-hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee, more than 150 political party leaders and representatives from nearly 30 countries attended the event. 

The thematic briefing was held to demonstrate the achievements of Chinese modernization, focusing on green development in Qinghai under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, in particular Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization.

Liu Jianchao, minister of the IDCPC, delivered a keynote speech at the briefing. He emphasized the CPC's commitment to eco-civilization, a prominent focus since the 18th CPC National Congress, under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, and highlighted the importance of harmonious coexistence between man and nature in China's modernization efforts.

He also expressed the CPC's willingness to strengthen exchanges on governance with political parties and organizations worldwide to contribute to creating a clean and beautiful world.

In his keynote speech, Chen Gang, secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee, acknowledged General Secretary Xi Jinping's guidance and support for Qinghai province, and emphasized Qinghai's efforts to develop national parks and promote clean energy, contributing to the global goal of building a beautiful and sustainable world for all.

During the story-sharing session, representatives from various regions in Qinghai, including ordinary Party members and grassroots individuals, shared inspiring stories related to environmental protection, green development and people's well-being.

Representatives of political parties from nearly 30 countries highly commended China's achievements, particularly in the areas of socioeconomic development and ecological environmental protection.

They noted that the thematic briefing and in-person visits allowed them to witness firsthand the positive changes brought about by Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and deepened their understanding of China's unique approach to modernization.

Jodian Myrie, a representative of the ruling Jamaica Labor Party, praised China's highly modernized development as an example of how economic progress and a beautiful environment could coexist. She also said that other countries and political parties could learn valuable lessons from China's experience.

Christophe Léonard, a representative of the French Socialist Party, said that he was impressed by China's commitment to ecological protection and its efforts to build a green and sustainable future.
