The “Hello Beijing” Photography Exhibition opened in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Monday, aiming to showcase historical and cultural beauty of the Chinese capital and promote cultural exchange between the two countries.

Attending the event were representatives from the Qatari government as well as diplomats from countries including the U.K., Sudan, and Palestine.

Centering on five main topics including the ancient capital city, its new look, and the ecology, the exhibition features 79 photography works that highlight the natural beauty, historical charm, and cultural significance of Beijing.

Jointly organized by the Beijing municipal government and the Chinese Embassy in Qatar, the exhibition will run through Sept. 29.
