The Third Civil Security and Badaling Low Altitude Safety Development Conference, held in northwestern Beijing's Yanqing district on September 27, highlighted technical and policy issues related to the low altitude field, and appointed a committee of experts in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Interim Regulation on the Administration of the Flight of Unmanned Aircraft, which will come into force from January 1, 2024, will serve as a guide to the construction of the Yanqing civil unmanned aviation pilot zone on the whole chain of management systems from design and production, personnel qualification, airspace delimitation, operation and management, to legal responsibility.

During the conference, Yanqing appointed 10 experts in UAVs. These experts will provide intellectual support around industrial exchanges, subject research, and pilot zone construction.

Yanqing's pilot zone also signed contracts with 12 companies, including Dspacetech, EFY Technology, and Paradigm Technology, with an expected total investment of 111 million yuan. They will focus on UAV research and development, assembly and production, test flights, and training services.

On the sideline of the conference, a drone static exhibition was displayed, which includes 70 items from 28 drone enterprises, showcasing the latest scientific research achievements in the upstream and downstream of the domestic drone aircraft industry chain.
