The fourth "100 Reasons to Love Beijing" short video competition was launched at the Summer Palace in Beijing on Sept. 27. The competition welcomes participants from around the globe to exhibit their creativity through short videos and comic illustrations, with the goal of portraying a more vibrant and charming image of Beijing.
Themed "In Beijing," the competition will select 100 exceptional videos and 100 remarkable comic illustrations. These pieces will be displayed on national-level international communication platforms and overseas media channels, enhancing global comprehension of Beijing's essence.
Xu Hejian, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Beijing Municipal Committee and director of the Information Office of Beijing Municipal People's Government, highlighted that Beijing's rich history and cultural heritage illustrate the continuity, innovation, unity, inclusiveness, and peace of Chinese civilization. To unlock Beijing is to understand China more deeply.
The competition is organized by the Information Office of Beijing Municipal People's Government and is hosted by China Daily. The event has been successfully conducted three times, drawing over 3,000 participants from more than 100 countries and regions and collecting a total of 6,000 works.
