The Yanqing Olympic Zone in Beijing's Yanqing district will host five international and domestic ice and snow sporting events from November 2023 to February 2024, according to a press conference Thursday.

During the 2022 Winter Olympics, Yanqing district signed a five-year cooperation memorandum with the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation, and will host five ice and snow sporting events in categories such as bobsleigh, skeleton, sleigh, and alpine skiing this winter, according to Ren Jianghao, deputy head of the Yanqing district.

Since it opened to the public in April 2022, the Yanqing Olympic Zone has attracted more than 300,000 visitors. The venue operates ski tracks for primary, intermediate, and advanced skiers, and includes several scenic spots.

During the upcoming winter season, Yanqing district will host the 38th Happy Ice and Snow Season and introduce more than 150 thematic activities and travel routes.

As one of the three competition zones of the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, the Yanqing Olympic Zone is hailed as the most beautiful competition zone thanks to being adjacent to the Xiaohaituo Mountain.
