Beijing has launched 50 projects with a record intended investment of 42.68 billion yuan ($5.83 billion) in the three northern counties of Langfang city, Hebei province. The launch was announced at a recent project promotion event.

Industrial projects, accounting for more than 60% of the projects, involve high technologies and have huge market potential, according to a government official in charge of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development.

Among the industrial projects are an AI cloud computing industrial base with a projected revenue of 3 billion yuan, as well as healthcare and rehabilitation centers with a combined output value of 5 billion yuan.

In addition, two transportation projects with an intended investment of 15 billion yuan were signed. Beijing Subway Line 22 linking Beijing and Hebei is expected to open to traffic in 2025.

A total of 12 public services projects on medical services, vocational education, and elderly care have attracted 10.47 billion yuan, and five projects on modern service industries have attracted 1.2 billion yuan.

During the past five project promotion events since 2019, over 210 projects with an intended investment of 150 billion yuan have been signed, according to a person in charge of the event. The event has become a platform for business match-making, exchange, and cooperation, thus advancing industrial upgrading and improving public services of the three northern counties of Langfang.
