Beijing has taken steps to enhance services in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to benefit residents and raise public awareness of TCM, launching 100 TCM experience sites.
These sites across the city's 16 districts have attracted more than 1 million visitors, according to Li Dejuan, deputy director of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. To further promote TCM, 16 interactive modules have been developed utilizing big data and artificial intelligence technologies.
In a concerted effort to integrate TCM into public consciousness, the capital city has organized TCM cultural activities, identified 59 demonstration bases for TCM cultural tourism, and introduced 13 TCM health tourism routes. Additionally, a total of 982 primary and secondary schools in Beijing now offer TCM classes.
