Longfu Temple in Beijing has partnered with Forbes to host the Forbes Under 30 Summit China, which will bring together 100 young entrepreneurs from various sectors. The event is part of Longfu Temple's efforts to enhance its global visibility and showcase its innovative potential.
Longfu Temple dates back to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) and has been a core commercial area of Beijing ever since. It is located near the Forbidden City and the Wangfujing commercial center, and offers a rich and diverse mix of food, shopping, and entertainment options. The temple has undergone several renovation projects, transforming it into a modern cultural hub that preserves its historical features and charm.
Since its reopening in 2019, Longfu Temple has hosted more than 300 cultural events, including indoor and outdoor markets, photography exhibitions, and immersive theater experiences. It caters to the needs and preferences of different consumer groups, with 57 businesses established in the first phase, including 13 first stores in Beijing. Restaurants account for 68% of the businesses, retail 18%, and culture and entertainment 12%.
To celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival, Longfu Temple will also feature a special exhibition of the Gundam model that is inspired by the Chinese zodiac sign of the dragon. The event aims to create a new consumption experience that blends Chinese traditional culture and trending elements.
