In 2024, Beijing's Fangshan district aims to work on 405 projects with total projected investment of 51 billion yuan (US$7.09 billion). In the first quarter, 203 projects totaling 10.2 billion yuan in investment are underway.

The projects will help rehabilitate flood-stricken areas, develop the district's modernized industrial system, improve people's livelihoods, and upgrade their living environment.

A total of 95 restoration projects including those for Juma River and Dashi River in the district will improve public service and infrastructure, providing sound protection for residents.

As for building a modernized industrial system, the district will focus on fostering four industrial clusters: new-type energy storage and hydrogen energy, key strategic materials, intelligent medical services, as well as intelligent manufacturing and intelligent-connected vehicles.

The district will launch more than 30 key projects on building public schools, hospitals, and highways, and complete construction on 5,000 government-subsidized housing units. All these efforts are aiming to provide high-quality education and medical care, convenient transportation, and ample housing supply, thus improving public service.

In addition, the district will renovate old residential communities and factories, and upgrade commercial buildings.

The district will also continue to foster a better business environment and customize assistance policies for enterprises, in order to attract more high-tech enterprises.
