Beijing recently launched a comprehensive cultural initiative to enrich the cultural life of university students in Beijing in alignment with the city's goal of becoming a national cultural center.

The plan includes seven mechanisms, 25 projects, and 65 activities designated to introduce students to outstanding cultural works and figures, and encourage students to engage in cultural activities outside the university. The goal is to strengthen cultural confidence and patriotism among the youth.

Over the past year, the initiative has achieved remarkable results, with the city holding more than 1,000 events for over 200,000 teachers and students in 16 universities. This year, the plan has been upgraded to include more diverse activities, such as museum trips and hands-on cultural projects.

In addition, the plan is expected to cover social science research institutions, art troupes, cultural museums, and cultural industry parks. The number of participating universities has increased from 16 to 26.
