Beijing's Haidian district has recently launched the 2024 Haidian Future Agriculture Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, aiming to bolster agricultural innovation in Zhongguancun, a renowned technology hub in the district.

The competition targets projects in seed source agriculture, smart farming, biotechnology, and food science. Winners stand to pocket up to 100,000 yuan ($14,000), along with opportunities to participate in international competitions and receive business support services.

Co-hosted by the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science City and the Haidian District Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the event seeks to attract top talent and modern agricultural enterprises, boosting technological innovation in agriculture and advancing the district's agricultural development.
