A think tank research alliance dedicated to the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region was established at a forum in Beijing on Wednesday.
The alliance comprises of 15 universities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region including Peking University, Nankai University, Hebei University, and Capital University of Economics and Business.
The alliance will give full play to the synergy of intellectual resources through building research teams, publishing academic books, and improving multi-level academic exchange platforms and data research centers.
"The establishment of the alliance will further promote deeper and broader research on the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and thus contribute to regional development," said Wu Weixing, deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee of Capital University of Economics and Business.
A report on the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region over the past decade was also released at the forum, which highlights the region's remarkable achievements in education, medical care, environmental protection, and transportation connectivity as a result of cooperation and coordination.
