The 2024 Invest in Beijing Conference, hosted by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, kicked off Thursday, spotlighting the capital's technological innovation, business environment, and development opportunities.
The conference aims to facilitate communication between the government and enterprises, attracting projects that align with Beijing's positioning. Over 400 guests attended, including representatives from international investment and trade institutions, business associations, and Fortune Global 500 companies.
During the conference, an English version of Beijing's industrial map was unveiled, providing a comprehensive overview spanning three major industries and 31 key sectors.
Meanwhile, a scientific innovation platform jointly built by Zhongguancun Science City and the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) was officially launched, initiating cooperation in park construction, innovation ecology, and enterprise incubation.
The conference showcased a total of 231 investment projects with a total value of 90.221 billion yuan ($12.45 billion). Additionally, 23 agreements on key projects were signed, representing a total contract value of 61 billion yuan.
The conference also featured an exhibition for enterprises and consultation sessions for investment.
