Shougang Park in western Beijing's Shijingshan district remained a trendy destination for travelers during the May Day holiday, attracting a total of 283,000 visitors over five days.

After the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Shougang Park is advancing the sustainable utilization of the Games' legacies, with the Big Air, a ski jump, being the first to open to the public.

The ski jump stands as a landmark in the area, attracting numerous visitors with its world-class competitions, ice and snow festivals, and captivating light shows. Notably, during the holiday, a themed concert was hosted here, bringing a refreshing musical experience to the public.

Moreover, the recent China Science Fiction Conference held at Shougang Park offered visitors a series of immersive activities that showcased the allure of science fiction.

For example, at Hall 11 of the Shougang International Exhibition Center, many sci-fi enthusiasts and children embarked on adventurous journeys through various planetary exploration vehicles.

Many sci-fi fans also made a special trip to the venue to engage closely with robots and purchase science fiction literature.

In addition, a craft beer festival was also held at the park during the holiday, offering over 500 types of craft beer to visitors.

According to park authority, Shougang Park has introduced nearly 100 brands across various sectors including dining, hospitality, retail, and exhibitions. Going forward, it plans to accelerate the gathering of domestic and international high-end brand flagship stores, host global premieres and exhibitions for new products, and become a hub for the consumption of new products and global brands.
