The National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) got underway in Beijing earlier this month. More than 2,700 NPC deputies and over 2,000 CPPCC members from across the country are discussing major issues concerning the nation's development. The discussions have thrown up a number of hot words and phrases, and China.org.cn has selected the hottest utterances from the two sessions to shine a light on the main issues currently on people's lips.
