Premier Li calls for Chinese tech to go global

At a State Council meeting today, Premier Li Keqiang said Chinese technology and machines need to go increasingly global. A number of industries were listed by the premier to become more international, they include: railway construction, of which China has ambitious plans to link up East Asia with Europe via Central Asia nuclear energy and construction materials.

Earlier this week, the country's top train maker secured its first U.S. contract by exporting subway trains to the state of Massachusetts, it was also announced that China is ready to build a new high speed railway from Beijing to Moscow.

Also at today's State Council meeting, Premier Li stressed more support for start-up companies at home, including tax cuts, government subsidies and easier access to financing.
