Commenting on the drug scandals among celebrities last year, members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee in the literary and art circles are expressing their voices against it.

Well-known actor and also CPPCC member Gong Hanlin says that everyone should have self-discipline and obey the basic laws.

This is echoed by Yin Li, a director as well as a CPPCC member. He calls for a boycott of the actors involved in drug scandals, saying "this kind of bad behavior from celebrities has bad effects not only on themselves but also on the literary and art circles as a whole".

Another member, Chen Sisi who is also a famous singer, stresses that celebrities should work hard to elevate their professional integrity and artistic level so that they can bring more positive energy to the society.

The third session of the 12th National Committee of the CPPCC is being held in Beijing and will last until March 13.Voices from CPPCC Members against Drug-related Celebrities
