Chinese courts heard about 151,000 cases with the administration as the defendant in 2014, up 16.3 percent over 2013, according to the work report of Supreme People's Court Thursday.

The courts worked hard to push the government to exercise their duty in line with the law, punish administrative laziness and fend off interference in administrative cases, said the report to be delivered to the national legislature at the ongoing annual session.
