Police rescue victims of flood
Adjust font size:

Armed police carry children to safety in Heyuan City, in south China's Guangdong Province, after torrential rain from tropical storm Fengshen flooded the city. Fourteen people have died in the floods, the local authority said yesterday. Another nine were missing, a provincial flood control headquarters spokesman said. The storm had left Shenzhen, the second biggest city in the province yesterday, but rain continued to pound the city, triggering landslides, forcing flights to be canceled and stranding passengers.
