Fengshen brings heavy rain to Jiangxi

Tropical storm Fengshen has been downgraded to a tropical depression. Heavy rain is falling in East China's Jiangxi Province and forecasters say the wet weather will last at least 36 hours.

In Ganzhou prefecture, many roads are waterlogged and several have collapsed. Houses and crops are damaged and rivers in the province are above warning levels.

Water is being discharged from swollen dams and more than one thousand flood-prevention and rescue workers are standing by.
