Minivan driver bit cop after hit-and-run chase
Adjust font size:

A drunk driver bit the hand of a traffic cop when he was stopped for crashing into another car in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, last month, Hebei Youth News reported.

After being shunted by the minibus, driver Li got out of his car to see how serious the damage was. And when the trouble-making van sped away, he gave chase and called the police for help.

The hit-and-run driver was eventually cornered and stopped - but as the police officer reached in to take the keys from the suspect he sunk his teeth into his hand.

After being subdued by police, he was taken to the station to sober up before questioning.
