A young man in Chongqing municipality wanted his sick girlfriend to eat something warm, so he used a cigarette lighter to heat up a can of porridge, while they traveled to the hospital, Chongqing Times reported.

The man surnamed He, of Hubei province, has been with his girlfriend for two years and is planning to marry her this year.

The bus driver first said a fire on board was illegal, but he was so moved by the man's gesture, he didn't stop him.
