Calligraphy student, 89, in university for 24 years

Bo Laidong, an 89-year-old resident of Jinan, Shandong Province, has been a student at the old people's university for the last 24 years.

Bo enrolled in the university to major in calligraphy in 1985, a year after the institution was set up.

Bo, who has won several accolades for calligraphy in national competitions, plans to stick around at the university for another five years to participate in the institution's 30th anniversary celebrations.
