Four Dead, Six Injured in Ceiling Collapse in Jiangxi

Four people were confirmed dead and six others injured in a ceiling collapse of a workshop in east China's Jiangxi Province.

The accident occurred around 1:30 PM Friday at a raw material workshop under construction when ten workers were pouring concrete on the ceiling of the workshop at Jiangxi Yadong Cement Co., Ltd. in Matou Town of Ruichang, a city of Jiangxi Province.

The ten workers were trapped and one was killed on the spot. The other nine injured were rushed to a local hospital immediately.

Three workers who were seriously injured died in the hospital and six others have been out of danger, according to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
