Highway Accident Kills Six, Injures 10 in Shaanxi

Six people were killed and ten injured when a van and a truck collided on National Highway 210 in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Thursday.

An Iveco van, which was heading for Yulin City from Yan'an, both in northern Shaanxi, and a local truck crashed in Yulin at around 1:30 PM, said sources from traffic police of Yulin City.

All the dead were traveling in the van, which belonged to the tourist bus rental service of Yan'an City Automobile Transport Group Corp. The two drivers aboard the truck were injured, according to the local sources.

All the dead died at the scene.

The number of people aboard the van before the accident and the fate of the van driver are still unknown.

All the injured are being treated in hospital.

Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
