Drug suspects caught on train
Adjust font size:

Shanghai Railway police detained two suspected drug traffickers on a train bound for Shanghai from Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, on Saturday, seizing a large amount of deadly "ice" drugs.

The two suspects, two men surnamed Xu and Li, who claimed to be Henan Province natives, were escorted to Shanghai for questioning yesterday, local rail police said.

Police said they found nearly 4,000 sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride crystals (known on the street as ice) on the pair.

Police searched the traffickers during a routine check on board the train at Guizhou Province on Saturday.
