The bus ran out of control after the collision, crashing into a roadside ditch and overturning.

The driver, a 50-year-old Hong Kong man, was seriously injured and declared dead by doctors on Monday afternoon. Eleven people, including another Hong Kong person, suffered slight or minor injuries. They were receiving medical attention in three hospitals in Dongguan.
