Adjust font size:

Zhejiang police said the fatal Yiwu blast that killed one person last night was a crime rather than a terrorist attack, the China news service reported today.

The explosion happened at 8:47pm in an entertainment venue when dozens of villagers gathered at an open-air site to dance and enjoy other entertainments.

One villager was killed immediately, two were seriously injured, and 31 were slightly injured, the report said.

Local government has organized an investigative team to probe the case, the report added.
