Adjust font size:

Three people died and two are still missing after an iron ore mine cave-in in east China's Anhui Province, local government said on Tuesday.

The collapse occurred at around 5 p.m. Monday in a mined-out area of the Longtanchong mine in Longqiao Town, Lujiang County, burying five working in the mine, the county government said. The five were all local farmers.

The mining area has resumed ventilation, power and communications. Rescuers are clearing the debris to search the missing.

The cause of accident is still unclear.
