The accident occurred at around 7:15 PM Friday near the Donglaiwan toll station in Loudi City, when the bus failed to avoid rushing in a truck-van collision site.

The accident occurred at around 7:15 PM Friday near the Donglaiwan toll station in Loudi City, when the bus failed to avoid rushing in a truck-van collision site, the Loudi traffic police said.

Four passengers on board the bus were killed at the spot. Two seriously injured passengers died in hospital.

Twenty-seven other bus passengers were sent to several hospitals in Loudi for treatment.

The cause of the accident was still being investigated.
