Death toll rises to 29 in Shaanxi colliery gas explosion

Death toll in a colliery gas explosion in Chengcheng County, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, rose to 29, as rescuers on Saturday found the last body of the 29 miners.

The explosion took place in the Yaotou mine at about 8 p.m. on Oct. 29. Only seven of the 36 workers managed to escape.

The mine, with a complete set of valid licenses, has an annual capacity of 330,000 tons.
