Road accident leaves 20 dead in NW China

Twenty people were killed and a dozen more injured in a road accident in Kuqa, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Tuesday.

The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. when a coal-laden truck and a bus collided head-on on National Highway 314. The two vehicles were damaged badly in the accident, said a witness.

Rescue is underway.
