7 missing after boat capsizes in NE China sea

Seven people are missing after a fishing boat capsized on Thursday morning off northeast China's Liaoning Province.

The ship, registered in Yingkou City, sank around 11:10 a.m.. It was about 200 meters south of the Xianren Isle off the coastal city of Yingkou.

A source with the provincial maritime bureau said the boat was on its way back to port.

A helicopter and rescue vessels were sent to search for the missing crew members around 2:45 p.m. but as of 5 o'clock no one was found.

The search continues.
