Hundreds of protestors gathered around the Central China Television (CCTV) buildings on Thursday morning, the national day of legal education, to protest appeals, including legal ones.

Many People gathered out of the east gate of the yard of CCTV since 8:30 a.m., some holding their appealing papers, some shouting appeals emotionally.

A protestor from northeast China's Hebei Province said he came here because he thought his problem might be solved via exposure in the media as it was the national law day.

The protestors said they were not organized but simply came themselves. Most of their appeals are personal problems, such as their original residence were pulled down because of new city planning.

Most of them stayed in the gardens along the road, so that the transportation were not affected.

More than 100 policemen and 20 police cars arrived at 9:00 a.m.. As of 11:00 a.m., most protestors were persuaded to leave, while only a few stayed.
