House fire kills five in east China province

Five people died after a shop front house caught fire on Friday night in eastern China's Anhui Province, according to the local government.

The fire broke out at 8:35 p.m. in a two-story building in Tongling City. The five people inside -- three children and two adults -- later died of their injuries in a hospital.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
