Motorway pile-up kills 6 in E. China

A motorway pile-up killed six people on a highway on Friday in east China's Zhejiang Province, police said.

The collision involved a truck with two containers, two cars and a cargo loaded with dangerous chemical materials and it caused a fire on the highway connecting Ningbo City and Jinhua City, police said.

All the six people in the two cars died at the scene. A rescue team has arrived.

As of 7:00 p.m., the highway was open.

Further investigation is underway.
