Born in 1900 in Hubei Province and died in 1970 in Zhengzhou.
Promoted to General of the Army in 1955 (Equivalent to 4 Stars). He
was very famous in Chinese War of Liberation and sick after
Xu Haidong was conferred the rank of army general in 1955.
In 1938, some leaders of the Party Central Committee and the Eighth
Route Army gathered at Yanan airport. From the right: Xu Haidong,
He Long, Peng Dehuai, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Deng Xiaoping, Deng
Daiyuan, Luo Ronghuai, Xiao Ke, Guan Xiangying and Cheng Zihua.
