China's top political advisor cuts off European visit

China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin cut off his European visit because of the Sichuan earthquake and returned to Beijing on Thursday morning.

Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), paid official goodwill visits to Romania, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia from May 4 to May 15.
