Foreigners condemned for instigating 'Tibet independence'
Adjust font size:

Chinese people condemned and protested against five foreigners for fomenting "Tibet independence" at the Tian'anmen Square on Saturday noon. The five were then taken away by Beijing police.

At around 12:45 PM, the five foreigners, whose identity and nationalities were unknown, gathered around the podium for the flag-raising ceremony and put down flags symbolizing "Tibet independence" on the ground. They then lay down themselves over the flags and shouted slogans supporting "Tibet independence".

Their actions drew much anger from Chinese nearby, who chanted slogans against "Tibet-independence" to protest against them.

Tian'anmen Square returned to normality soon.
