'Missing' journalist taken into custody

A Beijing-based journalist who was reported missing during an assignment to north China's Shanxi Province, was seized by police over bribery allegations, the Shanxi Provincial Public Security Department said on Monday.

Guan Jian from Network News (Wangluo Bao) was taken into custody by police from Zhangjiakou, a city of the neighboring Hebei Province, when he was in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi, on December 1, said the Shanxi police department.
