Five people were dead and four others were injured after a car crash in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened at 2:14 p.m. when a Chevrolet collided with a Xiali car on No.307 Regional Highway in Xiwuzhumuqin banner, a regional work safety official said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
