Molten steel spill kills four in east China

Four people were killed and one injured after molten steel spilled out of an electric furnace Saturday in Shandong Province on east China's coast, according to local sources.

The accident took place around 7:15 a.m at Huaye Cast Steel Co. Ltd., which is based in Jiaozhou City.

The injured person has been hospitalized.

No other details were immediately available.

Qingdao, a port city that exercises jurisdiction over Jiaozhou, set up a special group to investigate the accident.
