The navy began its third escort mission in Somali waters yesterday, guarding four merchant vessels against pirates. The four ships, Yongda, Meidiya, Yongtai and Yugu, will sail through the Gulf of Aden, where Somlai pirates have struck at regular intervals for the past year.
