HK police seize 2 kg suspected 'Ice'

Hong Kong Police on Friday arrested a 56-year-old man and seized about two kilograms of suspected "Ice" (Methamphetamine) worth about 1.34 million HK dollars at the Hong Kong International Airport.

Hong Kong officers of the Narcotics Bureau intercepted the man, who had joined a tour to Japan, at the departure hall of the Airport Friday morning. Eight packs of suspected "Ice" with a total weight of two kilograms were found concealed inside the specially stitched pockets of two pieces of garments in his luggage.

The estimated market value of the seized drugs is 6 million HK dollars if sold in Japan.

The man is charged with trafficking in dangerous drugs and will appear at Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts of Hong Kong on Friday.
