Highway accident kills one, injures two in north China

One person died and another two were injured in a van-truck collision accident Saturday in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local police said on Sunday .

The accident occurred at about 1:31 a.m. when a milk tanker collided rear-end with a coal dump truck, at the Wuhai section of the Beijing-Lhasa highway.

The tanker driver died on the spot and his two assistants were injured in the heads and sent to hospital later. The tanker cab was deformed because of the collision. Oil tankers of the two vehicles started to leak when the firemen came.

Initial investigation showed that the milk tanker had exceeded the speed limit.
