2 dead, 18 missing after ship capsized in Yangtze River

A total of two people died and 18 are missing after a boat capsized in Yangtze River in east China's Anhui Province Tuesday, an official said.

The accident happened at 6:45 a.m. in Tongling City in Anhui. The official said 40 people were thrown into the water when the boat capsized.

The official said 20 people had been saved, two bodies had been found while the other 18 remained missing.

Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
