Help graduates start businesses
Adjust font size:

College students should be encouraged to start up their own businesses as they face a tough job market, says an article in the Yanzhao Evening Post. The following is an excerpt:

On February 17, the administrative bureau for industry and commerce of Chang'an district, Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province, handed out business licenses to three college students upon graduation, which marked the birth of three new companies with just one yuan registration fee.

As China is being hit by the financial crisis and college graduates are facing a tough job finding one, the central government has required local governments to prioritize their needs. Chang'an district has actively responded. But students must first of all understand jobs have two types, either found through job fairs or created by starting up a business.
