1,000 plus years old Buddhist earth sculptures in NW China

Photo taken on March 7, 2008 shows a part of the earth sculptures in Shuilu Buddhist Nunnery at the foot of Mountain Wangshun in Lantian county of northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Shuilu Buddhist Nunnery, one of key historical relics under state protection, possesses in the main hall a fine collection of over 3,000 pieces of earth mural sculptures that can be traced back to more than 1,000 years.
