The nuclear island excavation project for two 1-million-kilowatt units has been started in the first self-designed and self-made nuclear power station of China. The two units are expected to be put into operation at the end of 2013 and in October 2014 respectively, leading to a total of installed power of 2.3 million kilowatts in the nuclear power station.
