The Hong Kong police department held a ceremony on Tuesday to welcome their new batch of advanced patrol boats.

Five of the 11 boats can reach 45 miles per hour.

The boats, in cooperation with the new central command system, will take policemen to the scene more quickly and will effectively deter illegal marine activities.
